About Course
Introduction of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) has impacted the way many products are designed and produced. In this course, students explore all the necessary commands needed to produce orthographic drawings on microcomputers. The software used for this course is AutoCAD, the most popular CAD software for personal computers.

Objectives:
Understand various CAD input methods Utilize model space and layout space efficiently Work with drawing tools including SNAP, GRID, ORTHO, and POLAR Develop good file management skills Control the drawing display, ZOOM, PAN, and REFRESH, as well as manage the ribbon and toolbars Develop and work with drawing templates Create various objects including drawing lines, circles, arcs, ellipses, and points Work with line types and line weights to enhance drawings Utilize and create layers to organize drawings Modify objects with standard editing tools such as MOVE, COPY, MIRROR, ROTATE, SCALE, and STRETCH Select objects with various methods and utilize grips for precision drawings Annotate drawings with a single line and multiline text Dimension drawings with basic linear, aligned, and angular descriptions
